speckled plates

from £15.00

These splattered speckled plates are the perfect backdrop for an antipasti snack or a satisfying slab of cake.

They are designed with a shallow rim for a sleek and minimal aesthetic, whilst still ensuring your elevenses or cup of coffee are safe from sliding onto the floor.

They also work well when used as a saucer for a speckled cup as a saucer, allowing for a perfect and undeniable biscuit space.

these plates are part of ‘the speckled collection’

A shattered rainbow effect where no two vessels are the same.

This collection has been developed as a possible solution to more sustainable studio practice.

Ceramics can be a very energy and material consuming practice and so it is important for the rubber glove studio to reduce this where we can and find new ways of developing more sustainable works.

This collection re-uses waste and test glazes by transforming them into speckles that can be added to simple base glaze recipes. No two speckled mixes are the same and as such, each new batch acts as a time capsule of the studio’s waste at that point in time.
