eczema cups

£30.00

A cup for all you eczema’s girlies who need any excuse for a furtive scratch.

These cups have heavily grogged slip added to the outside and thumb rest to create a satisfyingly crunchy texture and inflamed appearance for prime tea-time scratching.

All jokes aside, the textured clay is rough to the touch, but has been smoothed enough to avoid injury. One side of the cups has been left plain and smoothly glazed for a more comfortable hold when preferred. Hot liquids can both soothe or inflame people’s itchiness, so the large rounded handle has been designed to accommodate both a snug hold or more distance between your hand and the cup if needed.

These cups are a passion project for the studio where Paula has to do all her ceramic work gloved up due to her chronic hand eczema. Their design started as a fun creative outlet when she was feeling more bogged down by her skin condition and needed to reclaim its impact on her studio practice.

£2 from each eczema cup sale will go to the British Skin Foundation.
